A Fresh Start: How We Modernized a Bathroom for Comfort, Style, and Ease of Use
The Challenges: Outdated Design, Cleaning Struggles, and Accessibility Concerns
Bathroom renovations can transform one of the most-used rooms in your home into a space that is not only functional but also reflects your style. In this recent project, we tackled common issues like an outdated look, hard-to-clean surfaces, and a spa bath that no longer suited the client's needs. Here’s how we approached this transformation to create a sleek, modern, and highly functional bathroom.
The Solution: A Modern, Accessible, and Low-Maintenance Bathroom
We focused on three main goals: modernizing the look, making the space more accessible, and ensuring it was easy to maintain. Here’s how we did it:
Removing the Spa Bath: The old spa bath took up unnecessary space and was difficult to maintain. We replaced it with a spacious shower that not only looks modern and elegant but also caters to the client’s need for easier access and less upkeep. The glass enclosure gives the space an open feel, while low maintenance walls ensure easy clean surfaces.
Upgrading the Toilet for Accessibility: The existing toilet was uncomfortable for the client to use, so with future proofing in mind we installed a comfort-height toilet designed to make sitting and standing much easier. This change greatly improved the bathroom’s overall accessibility without compromising on style.
Installing Easy-Clean Vinyl Flooring: Cleaning the old tile floors had become tedious, especially with grout lines that easily collected dirt. To solve this, we installed sleek, easy-to-clean vinyl flooring. Not only is it low-maintenance and slip resistant, but it also added a fresh, modern look to the bathroom, complementing the new, minimalist design.
Maximized Storage with a Vanity and Mirror Cabinet: To address the issue of clutter, we designed the space with smart storage solutions. A new wall hung vanity cabinet offered room to store essentials, and with the addition of a mirrored storage cabinet above the vanity provided a clutter free storage solution. These changes ensure the bathroom remains tidy and functional while enhancing its modern feel.
The Result: A Stylish, Easy-to-Maintain Bathroom that Meets the Client’s Needs
This bathroom renovation was all about making life easier while adding a touch of modern elegance. By replacing the unused spa bath, installing a more accessible toilet, upgrading to easy-clean vinyl flooring, and maximizing storage with a mirrored cabinet, we created a space that not only looks great but is also practical for the client’s lifestyle.
